One of the first signs of spring for me has always been the appearance of pussy willows, I found this lovely branch on a Sunday stroll through Sackville’s waterfowl park, I also saw a red wing blackbird who will soon be joined by many others filling the marsh with their song. They are very special to me as they not only bring life to the marsh here in Sackville; but remind me of my first encounter with red wing blackbirds, many years ago in our first home on an acreage in Alberta.
