Waterfowl park comes alive
For the last two days gales of wind have ripped through Sackville, pulling at car doors and howling through the streets and door steps of our little community. Today that wind has finally calmed down , and although still bitter, is manageable. Feeling housebound after a long crazy winter, where it was either too icy or the winds were too cold, to be out, I ventured out to the waterfowl park. As I walked the boardwalks I could see life slowly coming back to the park: running water, a duck here and there, a couple of geese, birds singing in the distance and the lone stand of pussy willows. It filled me with energy and peace, and I look forward to the further enfolding of this yearly magical transformation.
