Victoria Day tea to Celebrate the Coming of Beltane

Despite the rain, on Victoria Day we had a lovely afternoon cosy by the fire, bringing in the season of Beltane. For although the blossoms are late, following Glooscap’s journey to find Summer, a few brossoms were found to decorate our tables and Queen Summer also brought each participant a tulip to take home in antiicipation of Summer.. Welsh cakes and cheese, open faced sandwiches, spring greens rhubarb cake with berries and green cream ,white looked too much like snow, and lots of tea and mint lemonaide was served, And of course it was all served on Windsbreath’s collection of English China which seemed especially appropriate on .Victoria Day. Music, and reflections on May Day tradtions, and lively conversation rounded out the afternoon.
